Magistrates Court
Contact us
All criminal prosecutions that go to court start life in the Magistrates Court. The less serious cases stay in the Magistrates Court, whereas the more serious cases tend to progress to the Crown Court. The Magistrates Court deals to conclusion with a wide range of cases, such as road traffic, theft, criminal damage, public disorder, assaults and drug offences. Our solicitors are on hand to represent you at court for any offence.
Crowe Humble Wesencraft represent those who appear in the Magistrates Court either as a duty solicitor, under a legal aid Representation Order or under a private paying retainer for those who do not qualify for legal aid either due to their means or the matter not satisfying the interests of justice test.
We are always happy to assist you in relation to funding options for your case. In fact, many people are surprised to find that they are eligible for FREE representation, e.g. those who are in employment or accused of a relatively minor offence. We will always assess a client's eligibility for legal aid in relation to a Magistrates Court case during the FREE initial consultation.
